Description
Myhep 400 mg (Sofosbuvir) tablet is an antiviral medicine. It is used with other
medicines in the treatment of chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. The active
ingredient of the Myhep tablet is Sofosbuvir 400 mg. It helps by lowering the
multiplication of the virus in the body. Myhep 400 mg tablet improves liver function
gradually, over a period of time.
Pharmacodynamics
Sofosbuvir is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a
solubility of ≥ 2 mg/mL across the pH range of 2-7.7. It is slightly
soluble in water. It is a direct-acting antiviral agent against the
hepatitis C virus. The effect of sofosbuvir 400 and 1200 mg on QTc
interval was evaluated in a randomized, single-dose, placebo, and
active-controlled (moxifloxacin 400 mg) four-period crossover
thorough QT trial in 59 healthy subjects. At a dose three times the
maximum recommended dose, it does not prolong QTc to any clinically
relevant extent.
Contraindication
This medication is not indicated to the patients who have known allergies to any of the
ingredients of the Myhep 400 mg tablet.
