Merocrit contains Drug / Molecule called “Meropenem”. Merocrit is ultra-broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of infections. It inhibits bacterial wall synthesis like other β-lactam antibiotics. In contrast to other beta-lactams, it is highly resistant to degradation by β-lactamases or cephalosporinases.

Precaution

  • Merocrit is prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
  • Use with caution the patients with the kidney injury. Dose adjustments are to be made if CrCl is less than 50 ml/min.
