“Melphather” contains drug / molecule called “Melphalan”. Melphather is cytotoxic drug and belongs to class of alkylating agent of the Bischloroethylamine. Melphather is active against both resting and rapidly dividing tumor cells.

Melphather is indicated for the palliative treatment of Multiple Myeloma for  for whom oral therapy is not appropriate.

Precaution

  • Melphather  is prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
  • Bone marrow suppression with resulting infection or bleeding may occur.
  • Skin hypersensitivity,Skin ulceration at injection site.
