Description

KEYTRUDA (Pembrolizumab) is a cancer medicine that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. It is used with other types of medicine to cure certain types of cancers such as lung cancer, skin cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer. This medicine is used to treat a kind of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer. It is an immunotherapy that works with your immune system to fight cancer. Keytruda is often given when cancer has spread to other parts of the body and cannot be treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Keytruda can cause side effects in different parts of your body.

Keytruda (Pembrolizymab) Indications 

  • It is indicated for the treatment of patients with metastatic myeloma.
  • It is indicated for the treatment of small-cell lung cancer
  • It is indicated for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with metastatic microsatellite instability-high(MSI-H).
  • Keytruda, in combination with axitinib, is indicated for the first-line treatment of patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma RCC.

Side Effect Of Keytruda (Pembrolizumab)

Usage Of Keytruda (Pembrolizumab)

Keytruda (Pembrolizumab) is used to treat both small cell lung cancer and non-small cell cancer. This type of lung cancer is the most common. It is approved to treat melanoma that can’t be removed surgically.

The drug is used to prevent skin cancer from coming back. It is also approved to treat certain types of bladder cancer. For this use, keytruda is given to people who have chosen not to have surgery for their cancer.

  • It may cause some severe effect on your immune system
  • If you’ve had an allogeneic stem transplant, consult your doctor about keytruda.

  • Breastfeeding is not recommended for women who are taking keytruda.
