Mechanism Of Action
It works by blocking the action of abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This in turn helps to slow or inhibit the spread of cancer cells
Side effects-

Experience unexplained shortness of breath, cough, and fever that comes on suddenly. These could be symptoms of a serious lung condition.
Have severe or continuing diarrhea that lasts up to 14 days.
Experiencing adverse skin reactions like blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin, red skin lesions, severe acne or skin rash, sores or ulcers on the skin

Warnings
General warning and precautions
Do not take antacids (to reduce the acid level of your stomach) 2 hours before or 1 hour after administering gefitero.
Diarrhea can occur as a side effect. Drink plenty of fluids and inform the doctor in case if it doesn’t stop or there is blood in stools.
Cautions
It is usually taken on an empty stomach once a day, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating a meal or snack. Take gefitero at around the same time every day.
