FARMORUBICIN contains Drug / Molecule “EPIRUBICIN”. FARMORUBICIN is an anti-cancer (“antineoplastic” or “cytotoxic”) chemotherapy drug.  This medication is classified as an “anthracyline antitumor antibiotic.”  It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells in your body.

Indication

Farmorubicin is used to treat breast cancer.  It is used as adjuvant therapy in women who have had surgery and have lymph node involvement. It May be used in place of doxorubicin in some circumstances.

Precaution

  • Farmorubicin is prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
  • Farmorubicin medicine is not recommended for pregnant & breastfeeding women.
  • Do not start the treatment if the cell count is low.
  • Farmorubicin should be used with caution in patients with the kidney injury. The kidney function tests should be performed before and during the treatment.
