CEENU contains Drug / Molecules called “LOMUSTINE”.  It belongs to a class of medications called alkylating agents. Usually, the drugs work by damaging the RNA or DNA. The faster the cells are dividing, the more likely it is that chemotherapy will kill the cells, causing the tumor to shrink.  They also induce cell suicide (self-death or apoptosis).

Indication

Ceenu is used for the treatment of brain tumors, melanoma, lung and colon cancer and also to treat Hodgkin’s lymphoma (Hodgkin’s disease)

Note

Precaution

  • Ceenu is a prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
  • Bone marrow suppression, notably thrombocytopenia and leukopenia, which may contribute to bleeding and overwhelming infections in an already compromised patient.
  • Embryotoxic and teratogenic.
