LH Ovulation Card uses a small urine sample to detect an LH (luteinizing hormone) surge. This test tells you when you may be approaching ovulation. LH (luteinizing hormone) is usually present in the urine, however, it increases for 24 to 48 hours before ovulation.
How Should I Use An LH Ovulation Card?
- First of all, read the instructions written on the kit. Check the expiry date of the test.
- Collect the sample of urine usually at the same time each day.
- Reduce your fluid intake before performing the test for about two hours. This is because an excessive amount of fluids will probably dilute your urine.
- Once you take the sample, read the results on the test card within the time mentioned in the instructions.
- Dispose of the test stick. It is not meant for reuse. For more clarity, ask your healthcare provider.
