Description

Revolade (Eltrombopag) 50mg tablet is used to treat chronic (long-lasting) Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection and severe Aplastic Anemia. It stimulates the formation of platelets in the body. Take this medicine only if you do not have any known allergy to its ingredient(s).

Pharmacodynamics

Eltrombopag is a small-molecule TPO-receptor agonist. It interacts with the transmembrane domain of the human TPO-receptor. It is a stimulator of STAT and JAK phosphorylation. Eltrombopag does not activate the AKT pathway in any way. It is clear that when given to patients with Aplastic Anemia, other lineages besides platelet count were increased.

Dosage

Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose, make sure to consult your healthcare provider for the same. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Warning And Precautions

  • Take Revolade tablet exactly as your healthcare provider tells you. Do not increase or decrease the dose strength, unless your healthcare provider tells you. Also, do not stop taking the medicine as per your own wish.
  • Do not chew, crush or break the tablet. Swallow it as a whole.
  • During pregnancy, it is recommended to seek doctor’s advice before the consumption of any medicine. Therefore, do not administer without proper prescription.
  • Revolade 50mg tablet is safe during breastfeeding, only if the healthcare provider prescribes. Do not administer this tablet without proper prescription.
  • In patients with liver disease, administer this medicine with caution.
  • In patients with kidney disease, administer this medicine with caution.
  • It is recommended to not drive after taking Revolade 50mg tablet because you may feel dizzy or unwell.
