DOCETAX contains Drug / Molecule called “DOCETAXEL”. Docetaxel is a type of chemotherapy drug known as a taxane. It interferes with microtubules, which are part of the internal structure. This leads to cell death. Cancer cells divide faster than normal cells, they are more likely than normal cells to be affected by this drug.

Indication

Docetax is used for treatment of locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, head and neck cancer, gastric cancer, hormone-refractory prostate cancer and non small-cell lung cancer. It can be used as a single agent or in combination with other chemotherapeutic drugs as indicated depending on specific cancer type and stage.

  • Severe hypersensitivity reactions, neutropenia, liver impairment might be observed.
  • Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
