“Aprepitant” is the Drug / Molecules content in “Aprecap”. It belongs to a class of medications called Anti-Emetics. It works in the nervous system to block the action of a chemical that causes vomiting.It blocks neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor in the brain and prevents the stimulation of the vomiting center and chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain.

Aprepitant is used in prophylaxis of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and in prophylaxis of postoperative nausea and vomiting.
